The MH40 wireless headphones are a decent set of boxes from Master & Dynamic. First is the build quality off the charts. Very good. All leather and aluminum. There is no plastic in these headphones. But it also adds weight, and the headband padding is too thin for heavy headphones. Almost immediately I had a spot on my bald head and about an hour later I had a headache. Another issue that can affect comfort is the small and cramped ear pads. These are not roomy canisters. After all, the sound quality of these canisters is mixed. Excellent separation and imaging with warm but not overwhelming bass. The high frequencies are also warm and not tiring. The mids are quite veiled and a bit muddy. I also recommend you avoid the MW40 Wireless if you're using an iPhone to stream music to headphones, as Master & Dynamic doesn't support the AAC Bluetooth codec used by iPhones. So you're stuck with SBC, the most primitive and worst sounding codec. This is inexplicable, especially since these jars support the Android codec aptX.
