I'm very glad I got them and I would recommend them to anyone They are definitely airtight and sealed. I've bought another in the past, not this friend of course, and everything is lifted or put together so I know, although they said they weren't sealed and they took the moisture. I've bought others that used to be a different size and they worked really well, so I bought these hoping they would be big enough. 4 large boxes of cereal, rice, pasta etc. They were the perfect size. I bought the largest box you can find at a cereal store and it fit and had a bit more room. I also bought rice from Sam's Club and it was the perfect size. I did the same with this size as the first ones I got, I filled it with liquid and then I put one in the sink and put it upside down on my table. The one on the table didn't let water through And the one in the sink didn't take water. I've had them for about a week now and so far everything we've put in has been fresh. They have not been exposed to moisture. I am very happy with them. I think if you try them you will like them too.
