Review on Artlicious Foam Paint Brush Value by Amy Mcleod

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hassle Free Economy Urethane Applicator, FIVE STARS

I bought these because I'm lazy and didn't want to bother with my brushes and clean them. And I didn't want those random hairbrushes on my woodwork in my clear finish. How I used them. I applied Spar outdoor polyurethane to cedar and pine panels. These foam brushes did not fail or degrade on this cover. These brushes absorb and hold enough to create continuous, even lines several feet in length without re-dips. The point is to move slowly and allow the finish to pull away from the brush, rather than constantly picking up and retouching like some do with brushes. Dip, allow the coating to set, then apply to the wood, moving slowly and evenly. Three brushes, three coats, and that's all I have to clean. I would definitely recommend these foam brushes for tasks that require a fine finish that would require thorough cleaning with a traditional brush. When applied with Spar, urethane leaves a clear, streak-free and bubble-free finish.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
