Functionality over form in seat covers

I ordered these covers for my 2015 Nissan Leaf because they were affordable and I wanted something to cover the factory seats. It is important that you understand that these are generic type covers so they may or may not fit your vehicle. It took me about 15 minutes to install the two front seat covers and the headrest covers as you will need to make small adjustments to the seat covers to make them fit. For example, if you have detachable headrests, you will need to cut two small holes in the top of the seat covers to allow the headrest mounting posts to be reinstalled. This is very easy as you can cut holes in black thin fabric without cutting the upholstery material. You may also need to cut small holes to accommodate seat adjuster levers etc, but that's absolutely no big deal. The only thing I will note about this set is that if you have folding rear seats, the rear seat cover means the rear seatback will NOT work unless you either choose not to fold the seats or both at the same time. I decided to install it anyway and while it works I have to fold both seats down at the same time to maintain functionality. Also note that if you have headrests like the ones on the front, you will also need to change the cover. However, unlike the front, you have to cut the material of the saddle pad yourself. For now I've decided against it for fear that the fabric will start tearing if I cut it. If I decide to do it at some point, I will come back and report the result. For now, I just drop the rear seat headrests as I rarely have rear passengers. The quality of these seat covers is good for the price and overall I am happy with the way they look and feel. The colors are vibrant (my photos are a bit dark so it's probably hard to tell) and the material is soft to the touch. Unlike other cheap seat covers I've bought in the past, they don't have that cheap plastic/PVC smell. Instead, all you can smell is the saddle material, which is fine. I'll have to update my rating if I use them daily to see how they hold up to wear and tear. Potential Issues - I have heated front and rear seats so I'm not sure if these covers will interfere. or not. Again, I haven't used them yet as I only got them today so I'll have to update this later. I also have a heated steering wheel so I haven't installed the steering wheel cover (yet) as it seems thick enough that it interferes with the heater. Again, I'm not criticizing this as I was aware of these potential issues when I ordered them and it doesn't bother me too much - it's just something to keep in mind. I am giving these covers 4 stars out of 5 simply because I was not able to fit these covers as snugly as I would have liked. It's because of the way the seats are in my car (i.e. there are a few wires that get in the way because of the heating elements), not because of the covers. Overall, I'm pleased with how these seats look and feel, especially considering their affordable price compared to other saddlebag style covers I've seen online that cost hundreds of dollars. As I use these tools I will update my review.
