First of all, I grew up in a carpentry workshop. I worked in an elite bespoke workshop for several years. I worked at a CNC wood shop in Arthur, Illinois for over a year making Schrock cabinets and drawers. So if you need a review from someone who knows closets, read on. The wood that this cabinet is made of is very, very, very, very, very cheap chipboard. Very porous appearance, ie extremely brittle. As if he had been under water for a minute. Pieces of wood can detach simply by touching the open edge. Imagine that a graham cracker is a better and more durable material to make, and you're not far off. Don't bother gluing panels together if that's what you have in mind. The glue will likely stick to the paper laminate it's on, but will likely result in only the pieces of wood that the glue is sticking to being pulled out of the board. Imagine gluing a popsicle stick to a roll of paper towels. Because of this and also because they drilled too big holes for the screws, the screws break VERY easily. This contributes to the cabinet's lack of strength. You just can't tighten the screws enough to really hold them together. However, I would recommend adding Elmer's wood glue to the screws so the wood will swell in the hole and catch on the screws. Fill the holes with glue as well. It might help, but I doubt it will last long. Speaking of screws, I ordered a black case and it comes with these flashy gold screws that aren't recessed into the sides of the case. So they stand proudly on the surface and make it look very cheap. This is DEFINITELY not the closet you want in your living space unless you're embarrassed when guests arrive. If you take duct tape and wrap the entire closet, I doubt anyone will notice. It's already looking bad. But at least it will last. Hm. Was it worth it? Absolutely not. But don't bother sending it back. I'm smart enough to reinforce it if the need ever arises. It is only used to store my batteries and rc car charger in my hobby room mess. So no big deal. He's doing his job. However, assembly was easy and hassle free. I read some reviews about it and some said it was hard to understand the pictures lol. But for me it really wasn't a problem. Some people (and this is a fact) find it difficult to see something on drawings/drawings. Would I buy again? no I will never buy an item from this brand again. Walmart wouldn't even sell bad stuff like that.
