Review on Remington SP-62 Foils and Cutters for Effective Trimming, Black by Tony Hoover

Although the packaging says this is a Remington replacement part for several shavers including my DA-407, this is not the case. The shaft of the razor head is so worn that it just slides over the cutting heads and doesn't need to be rotated. However, the screen frame is too wide to fit in the razor head. This causes the frame and screen to deform in the middle, making it difficult to replace the blades after cleaning. It also rubs on the cutters when they vibrate, so I'm not expecting a very long lifespan. The screen itself seems to be the right size, as the upward curvature has an impact and makes it usable, at least for a short time. This razor has served me well since the 90's despite slow wear and I've been shaving with Remington since I first started shaving. I'd love to keep using this one as it hasn't been made yet, but if replacement consumables aren't available I guess I'll have to switch to something else. It's sad to threaten to abandon ship just because it should be a minor issue, but if Remington only makes disposable razors now, I don't care.
