I had a glass roof but it cracked so I got this one instead. Pros: Looks great on the aquarium. Fits well. feels strong Can add another aqueon led strip. It's probably possible to support some low light plants, especially if you add a second LED strip. I removed the LED container and replaced it with the LED strip I had over the glass roof. Luckily he fits. The cons are only one LED strip, which is quite dim. It would be nice if the canopy/lanterns were strong enough to grow plants with an average light requirement. A built in timer would be very helpful.
