Silky, soft and slippery

I've been wearing them for a few weeks and would like to wait to experience them. They were a huge bust for me, and by the time menopause hit, I was willing to try anything to feel cooler and sleep better. I used to buy silk pillowcases from another company and have enjoyed using them for better skin and hair care and have been amazed by the results. For this set of silk sheets: The service was exceptional - received it earlier than expected, the company was quick to respond to questions etc. The quality is very good stitching, no protruding threads or imperfections, a luxurious feel! I love the slate blue, it's beautiful and matches the computer photos. The sizes are large on both the pillows and the sheets. I have a 16 inch topper mattress and it fits in with enough room. It feels very soft, cool, silky, although slippery. I really like this feeling, so comfortable that I like going to bed and don't want to go out in the morning. But to be honest, I'm still hot and sweaty and I find myself throwing off the covers in the middle of the night. So I changed it and now just use the bottom sheet with a cotton duvet cover over the comforter and it seems a bit cooler. Full Disclosure: I live in Hawaii where it's warm and humid year round and I don't have air conditioning. It took me a while to get used to these sheets because they are slippery. The first night my pillow slipped off the bed as I was pouring and spilling water on my bedside table and the other day my pillow slipped and knocked my lamp over! Luckily it didn't break or fall on my sleeping dog next to my bed. ;) Obviously I have to move things around a bit but they are so slippery that even the top sheet and duvet fell to the bottom of the bed and my husband and I woke up trying to lift the sheets but they were on the floor ! Small but just information I want to share. I have already machine washed 3 times with Woolite on the 'hand wash' setting. Hung out on a line to dry and they dry very quickly and then go back to bed - I don't even want to turn them over with my cotton sheets because I love them! A little wrinkled but smooth on the bed. I don't iron sheets and especially silk sheets for fear of easily burning the silk - my expensive investment. Overall, I highly recommend it, but if you're unsure, start with pillowcases or a bed sheet. This is my favorite way of using it.
