Great fan, few flaws that I noticed

I got this fan to replace a small camping tent fan I was using. This fan seemed perfect after looking at the others. The fan arrived at a very excited customer, me, and I put it together. The outer case is detachable, it has a belt clip, convenient for carrying outdoors. Once removed, the fan is a thin plastic cylinder with a bolted bottom cover for the battery insertion point. With the lid off, it feels a little cheap. If you drop it without the case I wouldn't be surprised if it cracks. Once turned on, the fan emits a quiet hum that isn't very annoying. It only has on and off settings with no speed setting. The fan itself is rubber and doesn't hurt to touch, I had a 3 year old touch the fan blades when running on fresh batteries and just giggle and then turn it into a game. Semicircle FAST. So you can rotate the fan 90 degrees so that it's pointing straight at you, and without rotating the fan itself you can also point the fan almost 90 degrees in the opposite direction, the belt clip on the back interferes a bit in that direction Direction. there is a suction cup. Good. I didn't realize it was working at all. I think if I got it wet or really worked on its suction it would be fine. I haven't used the suction cup yet though. My estimate is that the battery lasts 3-4 hours and gradually slows down over time. My biggest complaint is that sometimes the fan has to be slapped or the blades manually started when the battery is getting a bit low. It's like the engine needs a little start, either because mine is broken or just because. After all, this is a small engine, so expect something. Anyway, I use this fan a lot and love it. Took it to the state show recently, it has been used all the time and has kept me cool. People were jealous Update: 4/19/09 The fan that had to be pushed or turned to start was broken. That's not normal. I've had to replace this fan a few times due to accidental wear and tear on the motor etc. but I still use the fan often and am still a fan after many months.
