At first I was hesitant to order it because it's so cheap and I didn't know if it was a genuine cable. I opened it up and it works great! I use this for my uv5r. I use it as a police scanner and need it to turn off the transmit ability. People say to use a chirp, but I actually prefer the software that comes with it. A little difficult to install. Use the image in the list for the files you want and use 7zip to extract the .rar file.
