I have curly hair. Air drying is not an option, but using a blow dryer can make my hair frizzy without enough product. This dryer works twice as fast. I thought a higher power had straightened my curls, but my hair was just as curly, just not curly at all. I've even reduced the amount of product I have to use to style and the amount of hairspray to keep my hair from getting tangled after styling. 1/2 pound more than most dryers. I don't notice the weight and the size is about the same or even smaller. The concentrator slides over the end of the hair dryer rather than snapping in, which should help it hold up better over time. The only thing I don't like about it. The power and temperature switches are located on this dryer. The switches are on the right. I use both hands on the dryer and it's hard to avoid accidentally pressing the button with both hands. I'm getting used to it, but it's in a bad place.
