Review on Enhanced Ambiance with Philips LED Classic Dimmable 40 Degree: Perfect Lighting Control by Michael Staton

Bought these to replace the high intensity lights I've used in my downlights in my kitchen for years. Unfortunately, they don't provide enough light for the application. The description said they were narrower and shorter than the other version, which turned out to be a big difference. Not as much coverage as the old one, which I have to go back to because the shadow from these lights goes deeper into the fixture. Equally problematic is that the light itself is comparatively weak, despite equivalent performance coming at the same price. It's not that bright and definitely not the traditional "warm white". When I installed them they completely changed the color of this side of my kitchen, cabinets, walls and countertops! Alright, back to basics. If these issues I mentioned don't affect your application and you like whiter light, they might work for you.
