Installing a 2013 VW CC Read the instructions. Make sure you have ALL the details. Plan your cabling. Adapter to test the lighting before installation. Schedule the installation in about an hour depending on your chosen vehicle and installation. So I didn't read all the instructions and didn't realize I thought the antenna was actually auxiliary wiring to help the door. To do this, the wire had to be laid a second time. It's best if you hardwire to save your path and only do it once. The biggest disappointment was the cable route in my Volkswagen combined with the 96 degree heat outside. Route the cables and, depending on the vehicle, the auxiliary line, but leave them disconnected. Unless you absolutely know your car and wiring, most mechanics will charge $20 for the "installation". Set everything up and install, and let a professional help secure the door. Why? Well, depending on the car and how your headlights turn on, the best installation option depends. For example, if your interior lights cycle on and off gradually, the strips may flash when you open the door if they're only connected to a door trigger. I had 1 strip about a quarter of which didn't stick properly. Make sure you thoroughly clean the area before applying. Wipe the cleaned area with the provided Adhesive Booster pad, wait 60 seconds and then apply. If you lose, don't have, or the pad dries out, use rubbing alcohol and wait 60 seconds before installing. I used a dab of superglue on a single piece. Bright and fun. However, the sound of my car on racing tires turns on the lights in audio sync mode. You can adjust the sensitivity, but it made me realize how loud my cab sounds when I'm driving with no music or air. The light seems very close to being in sync with the sound. Light is a great interior accent and fun to play with. Worth the time and money IMHO Adhesion 4.5 out of 5 just because one didn't stick well. This may be because I didn't brush or glue well enough. Brightness 4.75 out of 5, could be a bit brighter. However, this is slightly affected by the installation location. Also, you don't want them to be distracting or attract unwanted attention.
