I use these speakers through my factory deck. They're in the front and the Infinity Reference in the back, the main reason for that is tonal balance, in most cases if you put in (4) the same speaker the backs are basically completely left blank, you can also just focus on the foreground and eliminate them the backs. volume with the right speakers you get a little more bass and more balanced content. I'm a big fan of JBL, Rockford, Polk or Infinity speakers. I've used them all but I always check the specs and I usually use different brands. from the front to the back. And if you look at top-of-the-line factory audio systems like Sony, Bose, JBL, you'll often find small magnetic speakers in the front and big magnets in the back, bottom line is the same. Brand of different speakers. Just saying, don't be afraid to mix and match depending on what you're working with. .These speakers are clean, the mids and highs aren't too harsh, the Infinity IS harsh, the Alphasonics are more rounded which allows me to get the sound louder in the bass, what can I say, if you want bass you should Buy a subwoofer and an amp, no magic for big bass on a factory head. If you want that license plate wobble, sub + amp, I smoothed out the balance a bit in the back and at least got some decent low end. It sounds good, it's clean, but it's imperceptible from the outside. Alphasonics sound really good, surprisingly good, they handle maximum volume without distortion, honestly they were probably on par with $100 Rockfords, quieter but mids and highs are crisp, round and it's more musical. Some of the speakers are too precise, like you can hear every single instrument loop, like it's playing Cakewalk, too mechanical. I probably prefer JBL or Rockford for the backs as they're a bit more fun, the Infinity just sound too precise, too mechanical. While I would recommend them, they are probably the cheapest speakers I've ever used. I wasn't sure if that was what you pay for the situation but in this case I think I got more so I don't think you will go wrong here and really if you go really cheap , just buy them for the fronts, buy a 12" subwoofer and I think it would be a pretty decent cheap setup, Rockville has a 12" amp for $150 + subwoofer with wiring could be unscrewed a little more than 200 and the tone would not embarrass others.
