LOVE that it works. I started my first blanket last week and read in my tutorial that I need a walking foot. I was very surprised to find out that they can easily cost around $240. That should not have happened. so I started looking for alternatives. It showed up on Amazon and I decided to give it a try. What I didn't like: no installation instructions! So when I tried it for the first time, I didn't realize I installed it wrong. Then, just when I thought I had it installed correctly, I started my quilt. As I said, this was my first quilt so I wasn't sure how I wanted it to feel when sewn. So, I used it wrong on a good 1/4 quilt - I didn't have a lever attached to the needle head (LOL!), no wonder my fabric didn't move. It only took me about 40 minutes before my hands started to hurt as I pulled on the fabric to go to YouTube and figure out what I did wrong. The horizontal stitch in the picture - I used it wrong. Vertical stitch when it worked! Nice seams! And it easily moves your fabric by itself, so you just have to guide it. Luckily YouTube showed me some great videos and I realized I hadn't installed it properly. If you've never used it before, go to YouTube and see how to install it. I thought it was common sense but apparently I missed it for most of the day. In the end I am very happy with this purchase. This allows me to quilt without spending $240 on the Bernina brand.
