The charger is very well made, it charges the batteries at a rate that does not cause the batteries to overheat, the device can use the electricity in the house for electricity, as can the cable to charge the battery in the car. The battery compartments are removable and can be replaced with compartments for other camera batteries such as Pentax and Cannon camera batteries. I have sent a message to the company I bought the charger from, but as of 12/10/2020 I have had no reply regarding the compartments for the Pentax K20D and K3II and for the Cannon G9 camera.
