I mainly work on PC but I needed to transfer files from Mac. Pros: Does what it says on the tin! - Connect to each computer, open the included program on each computer and you're good to go. - Allows you to transfer data between Mac and PC! - I can't compare the speed to anything, but it was sufficient for my needs. Note. The other computer is not mounted as a drive. . Rather, when the included software is run on each computer, the program itself will display the contents of both computers and allow you to transfer files in a manner that mimics File Explorer (PC). Cons: Doesn't handle errors very well. If a file fails to transfer (see below), the program stops all transfers and displays an error pop-up with the name of the problematic file. However, it doesn't indicate what folder that file was in; does not offer any options to solve the problem; This prevents you from skipping the file and continuing with the rest of the transfer. The only solution I could think of was to find the problematic file on the original computer and modify or move/delete it and then start a new transfer for any files and folders that still needed to be transferred. This is very annoying when trying to transfer a large number of files! Note. My main problem was that Macs allow punctuation in folder and file names, which isn't allowed. in PC names. When moving thousands of files, it's not easy to find potentially problematic files before the transfer. Consequently, the whole process stopped every time one of those files tried to transfer and every time a problem had to be found and solved, and then a new transfer had to start from where it left off.
