The wood itself seems solid and was easy to put together, only taking about 30 minutes. This is an attractive tree with an interesting form factor. Cats have a bit of a problem with soft fur instead of carpet—they're used to good grip when climbing, and faux fur doesn't support their legs or claws. All screw heads are exposed, even on platforms and beds, which I don't like, mostly because I'm afraid of the claw getting stuck during active play. However, the published dimensions and actual dimensions of this tree are not the same. Description says 53 inches long, 22 inches wide and 72 inches high. Assembled tree measured: 48 inches long, 22 inches wide and 68 inches high. This tree is quite a bit smaller than described and frankly it's extremely annoying. I have Bengal, a fairly large breed of cat. As you can see in the video, they are ridiculously oversized compared to the wood. I chose this tree based on the exact measurements and I am very disappointed that this is not the case.
