Review on Discontinued Epson XP-310: Wireless Color Photo Printer, Scanner, and Copier by Alejandro Raney

This is a truly terrible product. I see it's discontinued now, but .

This is a truly terrible product. I see it's out of production but this POS is so terrible I still feel compelled to write a review. I got rid of all my computers and only use Chromebook/Chromebox. I bought this printer almost exclusively because it is Wi-Fi/Google Cloud Print compatible (which I use with Chrome OS). I was initially very happy with this printer until it ran out of ink. The main problem with this stupid printer is that – I'm not exaggerating – it runs out of ink after about 15 printed pages. I'm totally serious. But that's not the worst. To top it off, when you replace a cartridge, you will inevitably encounter one of two things the next time you print: either completely blank pages, or horribly misaligned/mottled pages. And all that with original Epson inks! In order for this POS to print properly even remotely, you have to run the silly "Nozzle Check", "Nozzle Cleaning" and "Cartridge Alignment" functions multiple times. And it seems like it takes about 20 or 30 minutes to go through all these processes. It more than makes it worse. Of course, you're conveniently wasting a few pages of your 15-page printing potential on "cartridge alignment". After going through all of that, you'll have about 10 pages of decent printing. Until your next cartridge runs out or runs out and you have to do it all over again. Owning this stupid printer means CONTINUOUS endless poor quality printing, nozzle cleaning/head alignment, about 10 pages of decent printing, and then doing it all over again. All this, of course, assuming that you will not be using this printer for a long time and will not do anything but spit out blank pages. What kind of idiot would design a printer with such a tiny black ink cartridge? It's just confusing. I understand it's nice to have separate color cartridges and everything, but not having a black ink cartridge that is at least double or triple the size of color cartridges is stunning. After that I will never buy Epson again. I don't think I've ever had such a disappointing experience with any other printer, either at home or in the office.

Pros
