I work as a nanny and need a pet carrier in the trunk for emergencies. Sometimes customers don't have a carrier or I find an injured pet or wild animal that needs help. There are a few issues listed below in the cons section and I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5 but I will keep it and am happy with my purchase. Judging by the reviews, cats like it. It seems easier to get the cat in and out than regular rectangular carriers, even with a top loading door. Pros: It folds flat (about the size of a briefcase) and is quick and easy to set up. appears durable, comes with a thick non-woven mat. Large A-frame door makes it easy for pet to get in and out. Draft. I also like that it is one piece. There are no small screws to lose. Cons: There are a few small spots on the bottom edges that a pet can get stuck in with a nail or small paw. Look at the pictures. The mat that comes with the kit covers the space but is slightly smaller than the bottom of the carrier. I will put a towel on the floor when using to avoid this problem. The probability that this can happen is small, but it is better to avoid injury. The rug also has a label stating that it is not machine washable. It is not good for pet use.
