If your kids are like mine, slippers become ordinary shoes that can be used for relaxing at home and playing outside. My six and seven year olds love these shoes, they are very soft and comfortable to wear. Both of my kids have problems with things touching their feet, but we had no problems. Be careful of the back of the shoe though, the sling is a bit long so you'll probably have to adjust it to fit your foot. Baby foot except they are perfect hope this helps
