I bought this mic looking for an entry level mic, nothing fancy just something to start recording podcasts and youtube videos. Terrible, my Apple headphone mic worked much better! Some of the guys I recorded with kept telling me that my mic was twitching and the recording software didn't show any cuts. Recorded myself today from my computer, not the server, and oh yes, it's a microphone. The sound is incredibly choppy and completely unusable. On the plus side, the stand was solid, and if you could get a few seconds of uninterrupted voice, it sounded better than my Apple headphones. Can I recommend NO, I would buy again. NO. ITEM RETURNED
