I was skeptical about this product. I'm 5ft 7in, 135lbs and ordered a medium size. You just have to try it on different items in your closet. For something tight or form-fitting, such as form-fitting dresses and leggings, the outlines will be visible. other items and other materials, this works well and gives a more rounded, upscale look. For example, with linen, wool or poly-cotton trousers, flowy knit dresses or skirts and some jeans, I'm pleasantly surprised at the shape. I wear cotton thongs so I have a soft layer between my skin and this nylon piece that makes it more comfortable. I gave 4 stars because it only comes in black. It would be great worn in beige with white or lighter colored clothing. I agree with other reviewers that it won't give you a "perfect" butt in every outfit, but it will certainly lift and shape you in some outfits. I am happy with this purchase and am considering buying a second one.
