First of all, Oballs are my favorite toy for toddlers (2-6 months old). My daughter was able to grab them before any other toy. She picked and tried to poke her Oball shaker before she was 9 weeks old and I saw her actively interacting with the toy for the first time. There is something about the plastic mesh that makes them very comfortable for even the smallest of hands. My biggest dislike of Oballs is that they are a hassle to clean. It never seems like rubbing can cover all the corners of a grid. We started with the Oball Shaker but quickly ordered the Oball Jingle and Shake Pal and Oball Rollin' Raattle Rattle when we realized how good she was at grabbing them. Key Features of the Oball Shaker Good: Super lightweight and portable. The smaller plastic strap makes it easier for little fingers to grip. It has become a staple of our diaper bag. The bad thing is that the "shake" in the shaker is a little disappointing. It's so muted that our daughter barely responds to it.
