If you are looking for a really affordable camera body with excellent photo quality (even in low light depending on your lens) then this is the right choice it . I used to have a Canon Rebel XS and was very happy with it. However, I wanted better low-light performance (ISO 6400 vs. 1600) and also be able to shoot video. 2014. I know I'm not expecting anything crazy like a full-frame sensor (like my old camera, it's still APS-C) for my price, but I'm fine with that. If it can complement my smartphone camera on occasions when I'm actually carrying my camera, I'm happy! The T3i was also on my shortlist, but when comparing the two, the T2i was better (or almost) in many ways. The only real difference was the folding screen, but I couldn't justify the higher price tag between the two. I ended up buying my T2i from Revain because it was a little cheaper and came with a battery pack. The Canon T2i's battery grip body is a truly impressive camera.
