So far this product seems to have been very durable and was easy to assemble. The "directions" they gave were more like a diagram with no words, just pictures. Everything was included in the kit: 5 parts for a cat scratching post, 3 screws and 1 Allen key. Assembly was very easy and only took about 2 minutes. Although it's not said or shown in the instructions, I first attached 3 scratching posts to the top (A) and then attached the bottom half with the 3 screws provided. No extra parts or screws were included like some furniture companies do for DIY furniture. The little balls attached to the top got my cat attracted in minutes but he loves to bite the rope so I'm sure it won't take too long but I bought it to replace an old cat scratching post, not for toys, it's just a bonus.
