(quick tirade before review) Please IGNORE people saying these IEMs sound bad. You just haven't learned the BASIC mechanics of getting good ear canal seals! Therefore, each of the reviews complaining of "lack of bass" or excessive sizzling highs is due to either hearing loss or "ease of use." SMX! [I use and recommend SpinFit eartips. Yes, they are "expensive" but worth every penny. These tips provide the best seal I've ever experienced, which is CRITICAL when using an IEM. And with that good seal, they also offer excellent passive "noise cancellation".] REVIEW: These headphones are amazing, especially considering the price! I'm a former audio engineer who now just loves listening to music rather than pretending to be a critic. Based on experience, you'd have to shell out around $1,000 or more to get the level of clarity/soundstage/range/response curve that these headphones offer! (And I just use the cable that came with it.) After playing bass for a while I probably qualify as a "bassist" but NOT a typical(?) one who wants bloated bass. These IEMs are great for listening to bass-heavy music - not because of the bass offset, but for the CLARITY of the bass response. I have NO doubt that these CCAs go down to 7Hz as I listened to some of my favorite Rage Against the Machine songs and was blown away by the accuracy of the low frequency bass notes all the way up to the highest. The song disappears. In summary, I listen to an extremely wide range of music that I listen to - from dubstep to renaissance harpsichord. I also use BWE (Brain Wave) audio as a meditation aid. These IEMs do a great job with ALL the things you throw at them! My only downside is that the carrying case that comes with it is pathetic.
