This sticking problem is almost universal with this type of LED strip. Too bad, but that's life. They're bright and I've cut mine into 4 pieces and plugged in more USB cords since using them under sewing machines. Make sure you clean the surface with alcohol and don't expose it to anything outside of room temperature. Too hot or too cold and they won't stick. Otherwise a cool idea, bright and USB powered. You just need a better glue.
