The picture of the iPhone in the case is a processed picture. iPhone 3g 3g will not work this way. Also, this armband may look like it will open up and put the phone in, but the phone slides on top. An iPhone 3g 3gs has the phone sticking out of the case causing the clear plastic surface to wobble and not fit snugly to the phone. Yukk! Bad design. However, there is a very simple solution that will make the iPhone 3g 3gs fit like a glove. Even with a lid. (I have a bacon case). Take a pair of sharp scissors and cut off the top corners of the bandage. (If I could post a picture I would show you). It's pretty obvious though. Cut off 2 top corners. Your incision should follow the crease. Cut from the top edge along the crease to the clear plastic surface. The top of the bandage now forms a "flap" that extends to the top of the phone. Please refrain from the "Maybe Redneck" comment. ;) This works great, and now the transparent plastic plate fits your iPhone snugly. The phone is still well protected even during operation. Mine didn't move at all. Enjoy!
