I took a chance on this product as it most closely matches the case I have on my daughter's old tablet and she likes this kind of "Portfolio" case preferred. However, I honestly would not recommend this case if you are interested and concerned about seriously protecting your tablet from drops as this product is absolutely not Otterbox, Pelican, UAG etc. The plastic material feels/is extremely brittle, highly doubt it will withstand heavy handling or a drop or two. It offers at least some protection though, has been designed to fit snugly and can keep your S Pen from getting lost. For the price this is a good buy if you have insured the tablet against damage etc. Unfortunately, at the time I received our new Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus 5G, cases from "big brands" weren't available. So we went with this as a quick and cheap way to add some protection to the tab itself as well as the S Pen, which for us was the most important thing to provide protection or security. I saw that UAG now offer a very nice case called the "Scout" which I would recommend to anyone concerned about protection from damage or falls, or just anyone who doesn't have tablet insurance. Pros: 1) Protects the S-handle 2) Well constructed for a snug and secure fit 3) Affordable protection for the price Cons: 1) Questionable drop/damage protection/non-military specification 2) No rear handle or lid locking mechanism 3) No handle attachment on rear housings to attach while charging pen/stylus 4) Fragile plastic sure to crack or break during installation due to the tight fit
