I bought a brown and black leather belt for my husband who had a massive stroke. His right/dominant hand has been damaged and he is not using that hand functionally yet but is working on it. As a result, I had to help him with the seat belts, which meant another loss of independence for him. I found out about Myself straps from his OT and we have tried them and he loves them! Now he can get fully dressed and is no longer limited to sweatpants or I follow him to the bathroom to fasten his belt. It is designed in such a way that only one active hand is required to put it on and take it off and nobody will notice that this is no ordinary belt. Thank you for such a great product. And I can add that initially I ordered two belts in a too small size. I sent them back/exchanged to the next size up with no problem and received the replacement bands quickly.
