My cat loves the warmth this pillow gives. He lives as a super mouse in an abandoned house next door. I have a pillow to keep him warm. As soon as I put it on, it started purring. Whenever I checked on him, he was lying on his warm pillow. About a week after I got it for him, I pet him and noticed that he had tangled hair on his stomach. I was shocked when I turned it over and found two blisters/sores on my chest. I checked it and found no wounds. It seems his skin blistered from being on a pad the whole time. I unplugged the heating pad and treated the burn and am pleased to report that it is healing well with no infection. When plugged in, the heating pad was warm, not hot. Can't say it can burn your pet. But I would just add a word of caution to check regularly and ask your pet's vet if this is advisable.
