The Rubbermaid 16 Cup Dry Food Container is perfect for adding flour. It keeps the flour fresh and lasts much longer than in a bag. Another advantage is that I can easily attach my baking measuring cup. We live in the forest and I'm worried about ants and other creatures entering my house, so I keep everything in these bins. They're pretty tight. I've never poured water in them to test how airtight they are, but they certainly keep food fresh for a long time. I have purchased several Rubbermaid dry food containers of various sizes for a variety of food storage needs.
