It's easy. A ring shape for wrapping a ridiculously long outdoor power cord. Don't worry about "comfortable" grips and the like. They're just for show and don't actually do anything. You can try using a stylus, but it's pretty flimsy plastic and I bet it'll break after you use it a few times, so I'm not worried. It does the main job of preventing tangles. Or you can hang it on the wall. There are handy little notches you can hold each end of the cord to keep it from getting tangled, but I prefer sliding velcro straps because the notches don't hold up very well and if you drop it or need to push it to the side, the ends can to get out of control. It's useful and inexpensive, and here's how to think about it. This is definitely not one of those high quality weighted coasters that unwind the cord nicely when needed. I'm sure you could find something similarly functional out of the junk around the house, but it's cheap and less ghetto looking than something homemade. Not a bad tool, but don't expect it to compete with expensive ones.
