It took me 20 minutes to create tousled waves with a 1.25" barrel. At first I was confused by the reviews because it was either a 5 star or 1 star product and people were complaining about burning hair. After using this tool, I think everyone who gave it a negative rating has no idea how to curl their hair! There are heating levels from 260*. I have very fine, damaged hair from years of bleaching so after seeing those disaster reports I left it on the lowest setting which worked great but I was able to take it to the next level. While fighting the negative reviews I've also seen many people say their hair doesn't hold their curls, sometimes this is a common thing but for any curling iron if your hair is very thin (I have my mom's hair curled and still kept it curled for 2 hours when her hair normally falls out immediately). If you know how to work with a curling iron and have the means to do it! I paid $146 for this item since it was on sale and I also had a $150 gift card. I'd say I wouldn't pay full retail price: $325 is pretty ridiculous. Get it when it's $275 or when Ult/Sephora is 20% off (:
