They kept making them shorter! They've made them half an inch shorter and they look narrower too. but my head could stretch my gray hair a little. I bought this gray one before last winter and I just ordered the blue one. Why would they go and change something good!? Companies always do this. They lure you in with a good product and then discount it a year or two later to maximize their profits. Why change something good, it was already perfect! That half inch makes a huge difference in how they sit on your head and how they feel. When it comes to my beanies, I pay more attention to the length than the width, although both are probably equally important.
