another winner! - Aquarium lighting

I have been using Finnex lights for many years and this will be my third light. What's wrong with my old 24/7? Well it was just too old, I had it running for over 3 years. Here's a fun fact about LEDs: After 30,000 hours, each LED loses brightness, and after 30,000 hours, or about 3.5 years, the light output drops by about 30 percent. My lamp was over 4 years old. It is not good if you keep live plants. I verified this fact by comparing my old Finnux to the new one and of course it's much, much lighter. Now let's get to the overview and the differences between the old and the new model. The remote has changed for the better, the old remote used a button cell battery but the newer uses 2 standard AAA batteries. You can now set up 24/7 lighting with a custom lighting scheme. Search the tube for "Finnex Planted + 24/7 CC Review", it's an older model but the programming is exactly the same. I like that there is no longer a dumb key. they eventually integrated it into the body. Speaking of the case, it's superb, I like the black aluminum case. The legs on the IMO unit are a weak point, if you have a standard aquarium with a protective cover you will need to slide the inner panels off. BUT it makes the device a bit wobbly, not really bad, but still. They had to make the whole bottom part wider and add plastic screws inside and out. What is clear plastic? Black would be better combined with light. But the good news is that you don't have to remove the inside, but then the screws are useless. However, I like the light and would buy it again. Last time I saw some cheaper finnexes floating around if you buy this model for plants stick with this model it has the best red leds and others are cheap and so devices are cheaper
