I used this belt for the first time today. I bought this to replace the original strap on my Orvis laptop travel case. As mentioned in other reviews, this strap is made from quality materials. I think they will hold up well over time. Unfortunately, the materials are not well suited for their purpose. The material of the strap is VERY low friction seat belt webbing, and the strap slips off (extends) when you walk. I had to keep readjusting (tensioning) the belt today because it kept slipping. It was very annoying. Ideally, the belt will stay in place unless you want to shorten or lengthen it. The shoulder pad is even worse. It is a very soft and light material that fully compresses with very little pressure. So the strap is only suitable for a very light bag. I cannot recommend it for more intensive use.
