I am only using this as a laser-pointer for my cat to play with. It is purr-fect!Seems like Ebay has stopped selling the old pen-style pointers, and all the new ones have "presenter" functions built in. I'm ignoring that because the only presentation my kitten cares about is the tiny red dot on the wall - no, on the bed - no, on the wall - no, on the carpet! I like it because it's built so much better than the old style - it's comfortable and weighs a 10th of the metal pen. The buttons are wide and flat, and there's switch on the side to lock it in the off position. No more rattling springs and loose buttons and loose batteries. It's more like a TV remote than a laser pointer. Also, it's nice that it doesn't roll away.The laser button is a press-and-hold for on, just like the old laser pointers. NOT a toggle switch. I wish it did both. My cats don't care - the red dot is back and they are happy again
