Charges well. But my wife and I have found that if we turn off the car while the phone is charging, it turns off. Not out of line, just empty. And then the phone responds for 3-4 seconds when I reboot. I know it's not good. It must be difficult on the phone. You have discovered that devices and computers have a shutdown sequence. After learning my situation, Anker sent me an adapter of a different model. Unfortunately, the car charger turned out not to be fully compatible with our LG Stylo 3 phones, which is a shame because otherwise the charger worked great. Since they couldn't solve my particular problem, Anker offered to refund the cost of the charger. I thought apart from the occasional hiccup the adapters appear to be of good quality and Anker has great customer service. I have used Anker for phone accessories and will continue to do so.
