Sticker weirdly placed

These stools are smaller than expected and I can agree as they are for my kids bathroom and there isn't much space. But the decals stuck on the top WILL NOT PERMANENT. I've tried everything, warm water, fooling around, etc. And now my kids dirty little feet get sticky every time they step on a stool and the sticky spot on the stool is dirty.
