Large. I've carried a sling backpack for years but figured I could probably downsize as I don't need as many things in a day as I used to. My 32 year old frame is a size 10 but I was wrong. Looks good and solid. I can use the outside Velcro pocket for a couple of lip balms and a pocket knife (there's room for more though), and the inside pocket holds my square wallet, chewing gum, and hand sanitizer. I put my tampons and phone in my inside pocket and off we went! You could certainly put a few more things in, but to keep it from getting full, cramped and bulging, that's about the amount it can hold well.
