It is very important!

I thought this might help and will give it a try. No, I was wrong, it makes a HUGE difference! This is a strong magnet and it doesn't slip or move even when I'm moving heavier fabric. My edges are straighter and it's great to be able to move them closer and further from the needle when working on sleeve or pant edges. If you hem or sew clothes, you really should get this. It's unobtrusive and it matters.
