My knee is 16 inches in diameter and the average size is perfect. I tried Large and it was too big. I contacted ProFitness about this and they shipped the medium to my home within 48 hours. Terrific. I am 39 years old and have had severe tendonitis in my right knee over the years from doing heavy ATG squats with no bands or sleeves. BIG MISTAKE. I made a shocking discovery: They all squat with their feet apart so that their knees are almost centered over their heels at the bottom of the lift. This is a very different squat than what is taught in CrossFit. So I retired by doing yoga and air squats with a WIDE STATION at home every day with these knee pads. At first I was weak and inflexible in this new movement, especially in my ADUCTORS. I started drinking a pre-workout drink before this home workout and the blood flow has really increased. I got better within weeks. Work your glutes, adductors, calves, and quads to fire at the same time and be able to stop and hold for 10 seconds at any point in the lift. After getting 50 air reps, I was ready to go back to the gym and slowly add the weight. Each set was performed in knee-length sleeves. -- After the workout, I also put a large zheng gu shui patch on the site of tendinitis for 45 minutes.
