Wonderful kit! My 6 year old niece is in heaven. Order more plastic needles while you're at it, though.

My 6 year old niece was able to understand the concept and get the job done. The only thing I would suggest is that he needs more needles. They are made of suitable plastic BUT there is only one! I have ordered a few more ALEX sewing kits after receiving this one and a pack of 40 plastic needles. Another thing my niece has a hard time with is threading a needle. I also gave her one of the large eyelet needle threaders (a flat, rectangular metal shape, about 2 inches with hooks on either end) that's big enough not to get lost and easy for little hands to pick up.
