Super discount on great flashlights!

These LED lights are one of those things we wished we had 30 years ago. I really find it amazing how cheap they are and how well they work for such a low price. I had some planks of wood so I cut them up and twisted them together to make a wood pallet Christmas tree for our log home. Our daughter painted it green with the leftover paint we had and my wife attached the decoration and a small bag with screws and glue. We bought her and the star above from Dollar Tree. LED lights were the most expensive and we still have less than $20 for this tree. I used my cordless drill to make holes from back to front for the LED lights. I started from the bottom, having attached the battery to the back of the treetop with a screw. I quickly drilled the holes after inserting the light so I could randomly drill more holes, one at a time so each light had enough wire to get to the next hole. The whole project took us three hours and a half of family fun. The remote control is really great with so many options to make the light work in different ways. I like number 3 best with different fades. The remote control should be fairly close to the battery compartment, about 5 feet or less. It's okay if you don't think about keeping those lights outside somewhere and turning them on and off from inside and from afar. For outdoor use, I would put a zip pocket over the battery compartment. The rest of the LEDs and wires appear to be fairly waterproof, but the battery compartment doesn't look like it. These LED lights are really good and I put the tree outside for fun but it didn't rain either time.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Not the best
