I haven't found anything that compares. I paint a lot in black and white (Zentangle and Zentangle Inspired Art). These pens have never let me down. They last forever if you don't press too hard and you always snap them back on. They flow very smoothly across the paper, and the deep black archival ink stays black forever. Be sure to let them dry completely (I give them overnight) if you use damp medium on them. You will never regret it. buy these pens. Be sure to buy them online or prepackage them in store so you know they haven't been "tested to death" in an open window before you buy them.
