We purchased this light to replace the LED lights that came with our aquarium kit. The lights attached to the lid were never good. When they died we took that light hoping it would carry us on until we got a better light. Having received and installed this light I now realize that one could not have asked for a better light. I attached it to our old gas cap by sanding the bottom of the old gas cap and removing the suction cups that came with the brackets holding the new light. I used a hot glue gun to attach the brackets for the new light to the underside of the cover. Holds up well. The light is a huge upgrade, and we love the timer feature, which seems to work by itself even when our phone isn't connected via Bluetooth.
