I bought a £5 baby blanket for my 54 year old special needs sister. I didn't want anything too big or too heavy. She has a heart valve problem that prevents oxygen-rich blood from reaching her limbs, which is why she was cold all the time. Also, she doesn't sleep well, which is the main reason for buying a weighted blanket. Although her sleep hasn't improved, the blanket keeps her warm from the waist down and became an instant favorite after the first night. I would recommend this product for all ages as it can be used as a lap blanket on a sofa, in a wheelchair, in a car etc.
