Review on πŸ“¦ Enhanced Storage Solution: PGYTECH DJI Air 2S/Mavic Air 2 Hard Case Carrying Case by David Angelboy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

So wanted to like this case. Despite what it says, this is NOT a hard case/hard case.

I really wanted this product to appeal to me because it looks very nice and fits in my day pack. What can I say, it's not a hard case. it is rather semi-soft. It's hollow when you squeeze it, the exterior flexes and you can push all the way until you feel the inner material, which is tailored to the drone form factor for protection. I think it offers minimal protection there. It doesn't have room for useful accessories like filters and spare supports. I suppose you can put them where the charger goes (in itself a useless accessory as it doesn't charge the batteries at the same time). However, I have not yet attempted to place spare supports in this location. I bought prop locks to protect the blades while in the case BUT the drone will no longer fit in the cutout once the top and bottom locks are in place (this makes the drone larger than the cutout). As a result trying to close the case puts pressure on the upper arms of the engine (front fenders or arms whatever you call them) as others have said the zipper is really hard to open and close but this Maybe because it's new, but it doesn't bother me. The area where the batteries are stored is really very tight, for example when both are there one battery sort of sits on top of the other because it's really tight. Shoulder straps should be the kind used for almost everything else, a D-ring strap, not a guitar strap (the notch on the strap slides over the screw). Another thing I don't like is the fact that the batteries are touching ESPECIALLY if the area where they are touching is the battery connector. I feel like there should be material separating the batteries. I really wanted it to work and it kind of works, but there's a lot of room for improvement. For the price I paid I can live with its flaws as I haven't had to play hardcore with a real hard case yet.
